A GP referral is not required to book a consultation. Patients may enquire directly. Where a patient has been referred by a GP or another practitioner, the referral letter is incorporated into the assessment.

Scope of practice and referral

The Hair Institute provides outpatient hair restoration and medical hair loss treatment. It does not provide scalp surgery beyond follicular unit extraction and implantation, treatment of scarring alopecias requiring specialist dermatology management, or inpatient care.
